pillow for dad

this is a pillow for my dad to use during our passover seders this year! (you're supposed to recline as you retell the story of passover.) tasty, huh? i think eating the fabric might taste the same as eating the matzah itself...

presenting...bunny quilt!

after a marathon 7 hours of quilting, andrea and i finished the bunny quilt!



i'm going to quilt the top and pin the ears this week, but there it is! i also need to get a pole and some yarn to hang it, as it is a wall quilt.

it's waiting for its pouffy bunny tail, and its face is a little messed up, but it's so soft and fuzzy and hugable, who cares? i'm going to give it to a coworker whose 2 year old daughter now has a little brother. he says she's excited by the new baby, but i vaguely remember the "trauma" of not being special anymore. i thought she'd like a special "i'm the big sister" present.

MY dolley is more interested in finding out what's on the inside than enjoying the soft fuzziness of the doll.

i would have finished it tonight, but my own little fuzzball kept chewing on things she isn't supposed to, so i was distracted.

sweater and earrings

here is the back of the sweater, now with armholes 1/2 finished! it seems that i work better at katie's apartment than in my own. i put it down for a few weeks to work on some other scarf orders. anyway, once this piece is done, it should be easier, as the other pieces (front and arms) are smaller.


also made a new pair of earrings...these are sterling and poppy jasper. i think they're pretty cool. i have a bunch of these neat little sterling rounds, also sterling leaves. i also picked up plain gold head pins and funky gold headpins, leaves and such. i'll make some stuff from them this week.

andrea's moose quilt

ok, so andrea doesn't have her own blog, though i've been insisting since i started this one that she have her own. i have to show off her latest completed quilt, 'cause it's just so cute! i'm not sure of the size, but i'm going to say it's about twin size. someone is holding it up in this pic, i'm assuming is andrea's hubby eric. here is the moose...


no, we haven't had a chance to work on the bunny quilt again, yet. tomorrow night we will finish the face and the green background. draft dodgers are coming along nicely, i need to figure out what to fill them with. rice maybe, but they will most likely be in bunny homes, so they might get nibbled. oh, i guess anything that goes in there will get nibbled.

two new necklaces and a pair of earrings will be blogged later this week, also. i'm wearing a peridot and silver necklace today and i've alreay gotten several compliments on it. (go me.) also, diana's fiance will be moving in with her later this month...and she's having a last girl's night sleepover this weekend! i won't be able to play along because of work obligations, but i DID make several batches of fizzy bath busters for the guests! after wrapping all 50 of them, i decided last night to take a break from making fizzy bath busters. that loose stuff gets up my nose too much while i'm making them.
